Make the Smart Move with
Smart Moves Aligner System
Our office is now offering
Smart Moves Invisible
Hard/Soft Aligner System
that is customized to your
needs, offers more control
and is less expensive. You
may be asking yourself now,
"Sounds great, but what does
this have to do with me?"
Have you ever wanted to make
minor adjustments to the
alignment of your teeth?
Maybe you had braces before
but have noticed some
crowding that has now
occurred due to not wearing
your retainers. Or maybe
you've never had braces but
you've noticed shifting in
the original alignment of
your teeth. The Smart Moves
Aligner system allows us to
make minor tooth movements
and then retain that
movement to give you a
beautifully aligned smile
again.
The Smart Moves Aligner
System is specifically used
to make minor tooth
movements to the front
(anterior) teeth. An
impression is taken of your
teeth and models are sent to
the lab. The lab will then
evaluate your case and
provide a recommendation of
treatment. Depending on
your case, two, four or six
progressive aligners are
created for you. What do
they mean by aligners? If
you've ever had bleaching
trays, these are very
similar in that they are a
clear aligner that is worn
over your teeth but are only
taken out when eating. They
are invisible to the naked
eye and are a great option
to braces.
For each stage of your
aligner system, there will
be two aligners worn. The
first aligner will be made
of an elastic Invisacryl
Hard/Soft material that
provides controlled,
predictable tooth movement,
is easy to seat and
comfortable to wear. The
second aligner is made of
hard Invisacryl and
completes the movement for
that particular stage. Each
aligner is worn for two to
three weeks. The entire
process takes between three
to four months to complete,
depending on the
recommendation to achieve
ideal correction. And the
result is a restored aligned
smile.
Advantages of the Smart
Moves Aligner System are
very simple. The first
advantage is that it is
customized to your needs.
Each case is completely
different and you will
receive customized aligners
specifically created for
you. The second advantage
is that it offers more
control. The first aligner
is the key to the dramatic
tooth movement. And with
each stage of your system,
your teeth are meticulously
moved allowing greater
movement with fewer steps.
The second advantage
mentioned creates the third
advantage; less expensive.
The Smart Moves Aligner
System offers a more
affordable and tailored
option compared to braces
and other aligner systems
you may find in this field.
If you are reading this and
looking in the mirror to see
if you have any minor tooth
movements you can picture in
your mouth, call our office
today to set up a free
consultation to see if this
is the solution for you. We
are excited to offer this
option to our patients and
see your smiles when you get
the results you've been
looking for.

What are Porcelain
Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are
"shells" of porcelain
that are affixed to the
fronts of the teeth,
shaped to match the
natural shapes of the
teeth. When properly
placed, veneers can
conceal imperfections in
alignment and coloration
so an attractive,
natural smile is
achieved.
"People can look closely
and still won't be able
to tell that they aren't
looking at the surfaces
of natural teeth," says
Dr. Saller.
There are two major
advantages to porcelain
veneers. The first
advantage is their
ability to create a
life-like tooth
appearance. You may not
be aware, but your teeth
have a translucency to
them. When light hits
your teeth, it first
penetrates into the
enamel layer and then
reflects off the opaque,
non-translucent dentin
that lies underneath.
This creates that
natural, lustrous
appearance. Porcelain
mimics this process due
to it's glass-like
nature. The ceramic is
translucent which allows
the light to penetrate
the veneer and reflect
off of the opaque cement
and the tooth dentin,
creating the natural,
translucent appearance
as if it were the enamel
of your tooth.
The second advantage of
porcelain veneers are
their resistance to
staining. Since
porcelain veneers are
non-porous, they will
not stain or become
discolored the way
natural tooth enamel
does, allowing you to
keep your dazzling,
radiant smile.
If porcelain veneers may
be something that you
would be interested in,
please give our office a
call and we can set up a
consultation to answer
any of your questions.

Tips on Keeping Your
Appointments
In today's day and age,
life is fast and it's
harder and harder to
keep up. Here are some
tips to staying on top
of your appointments so
you don't have to miss
or reschedule a
cleaning.
1. When you receive
your "next appointment"
card, immediately open
your calendar and see if
the date works for you.
If it doesn't, call the
office and reschedule
right then.
2. Once you have the
next date of your
appointment, put it on
your calendar.
3. Each month, review
your calendar. If you
need to make changes,
call the office right
away so that another
patient can fill in your
spot.
4. Only cancel an
appointment if it is an
emergency or you
absolutely cannot
rearrange your
schedule. Appointments
are booked 3 to 6 months
out so it is harder to
reschedule you in the
time frame you are due
for dental work.
5. Remember, this is
concerning your health
and you come first.
Make it a priority to
keep up with your
cleanings. This will
help to avoid any future
dental problems and not
only keep your oral
health in tip top shape
but keep your money in
your wallet.
